The Death of Edith Bunker, Edith Bunker Death

The 11th All in the Family season opens on a sad note: 

Edith has died of an unexpected stroke in her sleep. Archie (Carroll O'Connor) chooses to pretend nothing has happened rather than acknowledge his grief.
